Abstract
This article is devoted to a scholarly analysis of the digital infrastructure and informational functions of the official websites of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan (SAMK). The study examines the content directions of the Administration’s online resources, their structural features, and their educational role. In the contemporary period, religion extends beyond traditional institutions, expanding through information and communication technologies. In this regard, SAMK’s activity in the digital sphere demonstrates new forms of conveying Islamic values to society.
The article highlights the impact of official portals in disseminating religious knowledge, providing answers to fatwa-related inquiries, and fostering spiritual education. It also analyzes their educational functions targeting various social groups and their adaptation to the requirements of modern media culture. Based on quantitative data, the study describes website audiences, search engine visibility, and user activity indicators. The author’s analysis demonstrates that SAMK’s official websites serve as a key instrument for strengthening the social legitimacy of the religious institution, promoting traditional Islam more broadly, and enhancing religious literacy.
Furthermore, the study characterizes SAMK’s online communication system not merely as a tool of information dissemination, but as a universal platform for addressing the spiritual needs of society. This indicates an increased accessibility of religious knowledge and the consolidation of traditional Islamic values in the digital space.
