Abstract
The article analyzes the main religious and ideological prerequisites and reasons for bringing Kazakhs into Russian citizenship. The author highlights the impact of external and internal factors on this process. The author comes to the conclusion that if the main subject of colonization is the Russian Empire, then it is precisely its foreign policy interests that act as a decisive external factor in the process of bringing Kazakhs into Russian citizenship. And in this process, the author pays special attention to identifying the ideological foundations of colonial policy
